The following information was given to students at the Sept. IB Meeting. It details the number of points possible for each course, TOK, EE, and CAS.
There are *6 groups: Group 1: Language and Literature Group 2: Language Acquisition Group 3: Individuals and Societies Group 4: Sciences Group 5: Mathematics Group 6: The Arts 1-7 points will be awarded for each class after examinations are completed and results are posted. 6x the number of points awarded = 42 possible points Completion of the TOK and EE allows for an additional 1-3 possible points per student The CAS project must be completed for the candidate to be eligible for the diploma. 42 course points + 3 TOK/EE points = 45 total possible points earned. ***Candidates are eligible for the diploma after earning a minimum of 24 points and completion of the CAS project. The additional requirements, as outlined by the IB program, can be found in Article 13 of the General Regulations. IB, not Science Hill, makes the determination about whether candidates have met the requirements needed to award the IB Diploma.*** |
